Austin has a humid subtropical climate, with blistering hot summers with high humidity, and mild winters with relatively high daily highs (usually above 15 degrees). Daily lows can fall far below the daily high, with around 18 days a year falling below freezing at night or in the early morning. Though even on those days, the high temperature will likely be much higher than the night temperature and probably quite comfortable.
